Edward Lynn Nutter

October 1, 1943 - January 8, 2020

Edward Lynn "Tom" Nutter, 76 of Big Battle Run Salem departed this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.  He was born on October 1, 1943 in Salem a son of the late Bernice Leone Nutter.  On June 20,1991 he married Linda Swiger Nutter who survives.   Also surviving are two daughters, Kathryn Ellen Ash, Carla Joyce McCauley, both of Salem, one son, Travis Ash and wife Jennifer, Flemington, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren, one Aunt, Carolyn Nutter, Salem and several nieces and nephews.   Mr. Nutter retired from the W.V. Department of Highways as an Asphalt Inspector with 38 years service.  He was Baptist. He was an avid WVU fan and enjoyed golf and pool.  Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and extended family.   In keeping with his request he was cremated.  There will be a family gathering in his memory at their convenience.  Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Nutter family.
