Guy Allen Carter

Guy Allen Carter, 85 of Flinderation Rd. Salem departed this life on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 15, 1936 at La Junta, CO, a son of the late Gerald and Dorothy Hesslink Carter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Brown Carter. Surviving is two sons, Mark Carter and fiancé Annette Whitley, Salem, Tim Carter, two daughters, Deanna Dobstass and Cindy Scott, two granddaughters, Natasha Carter, VA, Nikki Hasiak, AZ, three great grandchildren, Liam, Hayden and Paisley Hasiak, two sisters, Carol Hansen and husband John, Karen Kirschman and husband Danny, both of AR. several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Carter. Mr. Carter the former owner of Mark's Carpet Salon. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed flying his plane, woodworking and gardening. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St. Salem on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Denver Burnside presiding. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park with full military graveside honors being accorded by the Harrison County Veterans Organizations. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Carter family.
