Jimmie Bert Seckman

April 21, 1929 - December 1, 2021

Jimmie Bert Seckman, 92 of Buckhannon departed this life on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in WV Caring Hospice, Elkins. He was born on April 21, 1929 at Center Point, a son of the late Archie Buck Seckman and Vanchie Robinson Seckman. On January 8, 1950 he married Wilda Louise Childers Seckman who preceded him in death on January 11, 2018. Surviving is one daughter, Connie Kaufman and husband Steven, Philippi, three sons, Jimmie Seckman and wife Dian, Buckhannon, Larry Seckman and wife Barbara, Philippi, Ronnie Seckman and wife Linda, Quiet Dell, grandchildren, Marcie Burger, FL, Shari Seckman, Philippi, Angela Gibson (Mike), Clarksburg, Joshua Seckman (Tara), Bridgeport, Chad Cutright, Montrose, great grandchildren, Jacob, Faith, Patrick, Michael, Nicholas, Cameron, Austin, Samuel, Madison, Astryd and Rhett, one great great granddaughter, Everleigh as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Diana Jean Seckman, four brothers, Charles, Bill, Dwaine and Robert Seckman, and three sisters, Iva Holmes, Lucille Mawson and Geneva Jennings. Mr. Seckman retired from Consolidated Natural Gas Company as a Well Tender with over 30 years service. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, trout fishing and playing golf. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday December 4, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at K of P Memorial Park, Salem with Pastor Denver Burnside presiding. The family will receive friends at Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St. Salem on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to W.V. Caring Hospice, 169 Diamond St. Elkins, WV 26241. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Seckman family.
