John Delbert Sharpes

John Delbert Sharpes, 60 of Long Run Rd. Salem lost his battle to Diabetes and Kidney disease on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born on October 9, 1956 in Austin, TX a son of the late Oren B. and Pauline Frame Sharpes. His wife Lila Lyons Sharpes survives. Also surviving are two sons, John Michael Sharpes and wife Connie, Clarksburg, William Oren Sharpes , Salem, one daughter, Lila Sue Sharpes and companion Travis Bartlett, grandchildren, Jesse Sharpes, Oren Sharpes and Harper Bartlett, one brother, Walter Sharpes, Salem, John was a 1975 graduate of Doddridge County High School. He was the Owner and Operator of Bear Track Fabricating and Repair. It is sad to see him go at such an early age. Our father was a very good man and we are proud to be his sons and daughter! Our father was a very determined and intelligent individual, his knowledge of fabricating was truly incredible. Our father had a good influence on our lives; if we needed him he was there for us. His loss is hard to bear, but his accomplishments and deeds will be remembered for generations to come. All who knew John D. Sharpes will mourn his passing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be loved and remembered always. Private graveside services were conducted on the Sharpes Family Farm on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
