Mary F. Paugh, 76, of Salem, (Big Isaac Community) departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born in Sheridan, Arkansas on July 16, 1938, a daughter of the late Homer and Shirley Nall. On November 1, 1957 in Indianola, MS, she married Robert R. Paugh, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Robert A. Paugh of Clarksburg; two daughters, Kayla Ash and husband Jody, Cindy Mutschelknaus and husband Bill, of Salem; five grand-children, Dustin Mutschelknaus and companion Jenny Sandy of West Union, Justin Paugh of NJ, Anthony Mutschelknaus, Tabitha Mutschelknaus of Salem, and Austin Paugh of Fla.; three great grand-children, Marleigh Mutschelknaus, Scarlett Mutschelknaus and Sydney Paugh; two sisters, Patricia McBurnett of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Wanda Nall of Little Rock, Arkansas; two former daughter-in-laws, Jolinda Williams of Fla. and Shelley Mcavoy of MD.; two great friends, Mary Ann Roach and Margaret Kennedy; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one daughter, Tanya Lynne Paugh; one son, Ronald D. Paugh; one brother Bobby Green and her father and mother-in-law, William and Norma Paugh. Mary was a military wife and spent many years traveling with her husband and children around the US as well as Spain. In 1975 Robert retired from the US Air Force and the family settled in Salem, WV. Mary retired after 18 years of service as the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor at the Salem College Personal Care Center. She loved to travel, cook, shop, garden, eat out, camp at Big Bear Lake, and watch WVU men’s and women’s basketball. She especially loved her family and to spend time with them. She was a member of the Little Rock Camp Church and enjoyed attending with her husband. She was his co-pilot. She had a wide variety of collections. She loved Christmas. The house is always decorated inside and out with a variety of Christmas displays. Her cooking was the best. She once won 1st place in an apple pie baking contest. She was loving, caring, thoughtful, giving and had a great sense of humor. She was loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St., Salem on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1:00PM with Pastor Tim Sandy presiding. Interment will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Kincheloe. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2-8PM and after 9AM Monday until time service.
